At Chai Lifeline’s Camp Simcha, our mission is to bring childhood back to children who lost it when they were diagnosed. To do that, we mix the best of camp activities – sports, arts and crafts, swimming and boating, camp shows, special events and activities – with the leadership of trained and compassionate counselors who specialize in keeping campers laughing from early morning to late at night. In this video, I contributed footage, capturing the vibrant moments of Arrivals Day and the heartwarming experiences of the children at Chai Lifeline’s Camp Simcha. Collaboratively crafted, this music video blends the artistry of multiple videographers, including my own work, to showcase the spirit and essence of the camp’s atmosphere. Every summer, 480 campers enjoy a needed respite from illness in an environment filled with friendship, love, and encouragement. They rediscover their childhood, and when they leave camp, they realize that they do not have to be defined by illness or disabilities.
